In 2018, Slottsholmen in Västervik was acquired by Björn Ulvaeus, and a new investment for the building began. Today, Slottsholmen is surrounded by idyllic views where an expansion of the restaurant has taken place. Now guests can quietly look to sea and almost feel the breeze through the large glass sections. With a long-term approach, Slottsholmen has managed to become self-sufficient through energy and water, and they also bring in locally grown ingredients from farms to create a sustainable cycle. SAPA's folding door AMBIAL blurs the line between outside and inside and makes the restaurant become one with its fantastic outdoor environment.

Hydro Building Systems and Saint-Gobain Glass are joining forces to drive decarbonisation by helping the building industry design sustainable facades that have circularity built in. The two companies are leading the way through the use of low embodied carbon products thanks to a high percentage of recycled materials: specifically, Hydro Building Systems aluminium façade products manufactured from Hydro CIRCAL® 75R and the Saint-Gobain Glass ORAÉ® glass substrate.

Accelerating their commitment to sustainable development, SAPA part of Hydro, has become the first aluminium building system company to manufacture door, window and curtain walling profiles from 100% recycled aluminium - Hydro CIRCAL 100R. The new recycled material is produced from 100% post-consumer aluminium. This means it is possible to specify profiles with a near-zero carbon footprint (0.5kg of CO2e/kg of aluminium on average) - the lowest in the world.  

Skånetrafiken's new headquarters in Hässleholm is conveniently located near the central station, which has gone from a traditional office to a more modern open office landscape. Where new well-planned gathering areas are available, which generates a more attractive workplace. With the help of GlasLindberg, SAPA has delivered facades and doors to the project. The building is also certified according to Miljöbyggnad Silver.

Hydro’s acquisition of Hueck is completed, strengthening Hydro Building Systems with its brands. Hueck is a family-owned business and provider of aluminium systems and extruded aluminium profiles, with HQ in Lüdenscheid Germany. It has 500 highly skilled employees, two extrusion presses and an integrated cast house operation.

Bergsjön Cultural Centre is a new place to meet in Gothenburg that puts the focus on social sustainability and integration. Here, residents are encouraged to get creative through a range of activities centring on culture. The architecture is imaginative and playful, and connects with its surroundings in inspiring ways. Large areas of exterior glazing open up the building and allow the creative interior to interact with the outdoor environment. The exterior glazing and aluminium doors for the project were supplied by SAPA through GlasLindberg Fasad AB.

An engineering equivalent to Silicon Valley has been placed at the Lindholmen shipyard in Gothenburg. Here, the area breathes innovation and openness, where new creation in the automotive industry is in focus. The innovation center will inspire promising young talents to new discoveries and meetings. The five elements wood, fire, earth, metal, and water are to symbolize the area and the surroundings are opened up through the glassy reflections in the facades. SAPA has through Göteborgs Glasmästeri AB, delivered aluminum doors, roof glazing and facades to the project.
