Solar BIPV

Building-integrated photovoltaics in façade systems and glass roofs

Charakterystyka

Our exclusive partnership with SolTech Energy makes it easy and affordable to integrate semi-transparent solar cells in modern buildings. The large variety of shapes, colors and the transparency level of cells mounted in high-insulated aluminium profile systems paves the way for creativity and modern ideas in architecture. It provides the opportunity to implement energy-efficient, innovative and prestigious projects.

Semi-transparent solar cells fit into our façade systems and glass roof systems. SAPA Solar BIPV can be tailored to the site conditions and adapted to project specifications for transparency, light customization, modular design, shades and dimensions.

Integration in facade

Solar glass

Solar glasses are made with respect to how they should be integrated into the building.

The solar cells are either embedded in a transparent insulated double or tripple glass unit or in an opaque single glass if it should be fitted into the parapet. The solar cells are always placed in the outer glass that will be with low iron content. The low iron content results in a very clear glass, where as much as possible of the sunlight reaches the solar cells. Solar glasses in combination with our aluminium profile systems can be adapted to get the optimized BIPV solution for each project.

Solar glasses integrates easily in our profile systems; Sapa Facade 4150/4150 SX/4150 PH/4150 SSG and Sapa Roof Glazing 5050.
